Genterie first opened its doors in 2011 as a place for Lafayette to come together – celebrating style, community and connection. And what better place than downtown?  For more than a decade, its been a trusted boutique where classic pieces and fresh trends meet.

In 2025, we – three families with one shared vision – took the reins. Before we were business partners, we were neighbors who spent countless hours together. When the opportunity to carry Genterie’s story forward came along, it only felt right to do it with the people we already shared life with.

Each of us bring a different background and sense of style: dressy, boho, casual, classic.  Together, we saw an opportunity to honor Genterie’s roots while infusing it with fresh energy and a vision for the future.

From the start, we knew Genterie should keep its signature men’s focus while expanding into a space where women and men alike could shop comfortably, discover new looks, and find pieces that feel true to who they are.

Today, Genterie is more than a clothing store – it’s a reflection of heritage and friendship, perspective and community. It’s a place where fashion feels approachable, fun and ever-evolving.
